UPS Expands the Geography of Worldwide Expedited Service
Press Release

ATLANTA, USA, 12 March, 2013. UPS (NYSE:UPS) announced a significant expansion of the UPS Worldwide Expedited ® service area - fast and reliable air shipments. Due to the triple rise of countries where the service is provided, shipment delivery in more than 220 countries and territories of the world, including Russia, is carried out within typically 2-5 business days. This service will help UPS customers to achieve the optimal combination of speed and cost of the delivery in Russia, regardless of place of departure.

"UPS Worldwide Expedited offers to our customers a more cost-effective, prompt service with the same benefits that they get, using UPS Worldwide Express service: guaranteed door-to-door delivery, transparent system of cargo tracking, quick passage of the customs clearance procedures provided by UPS's customs brokerage," - commented John Sutthoff, UPS vice president of international marketing. "Retail chains, manufacturing and high-tech companies consider this service extremely attractive in terms of reliability and ease of use, provided by UPS's best in class IT platform and operating infrastructure".
According to UPS, unstable economic situation of recent years makes it even more obvious the reasons by which companies should look for ways to ensure the stability and growth opportunities in global markets.

"Companies that have managed to enter foreign markets, better protected from recession in the domestic", - said Sutthoff. "Even in today's slow economic growth, we have customers whose business goes to this level at which UPS came decades ago - at international market".

UPS first expanded outside the U.S. in the mid-1970s when the company began offering domestic shipping service in Canada and West Germany. Throughout the 1980s, UPS succeeded to create in a short time period debugged integrated international transport network that provided customers with an opportunity to send or receive their shipments from anywhere.

I In Russia Worldwide Expedited service is applicable for incoming import shipments from the following countries: Austria, Azores, England, Argentina, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Brazil, Hungary, Venezuela, Gaza (the West Bank), Guatemala, Germany, Guernsey (Channel Islands), Netherlands, Honduras, Greece, Denmark, Jersey (Channel Islands), Dominican Republic, Egypt, Israel, Iraq, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Qatar, Colombia, Costa Rica, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Madeira, Mexico, Monaco, Nicaragua, Norway, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Panama, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Salvador, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Northern Ireland, the Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Turkey, Wales, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Chile, Switzerland, Sweden, Scotland, Ecuador, Estonia.

Recently, UPS has introduced an additional option for import shipments:

UPS Import ControlSM: First time proposed in 2010, this logistic solution provides importers with best control and transparency of the international supply chain that helps to manage costs more effectively and minimize delays during customs clearance. UPS Import Control option is available in over 145 countries and territories, including Russia.

"Due to the ongoing development of world trade and e-commerce our customers will need access to new markets combined with cost-effective and flexible delivery of their products", - said Sutthoff. "Expansion of the geography of UPS Worldwide Expedited gives them such an opportunity. This will help companies of any size - both importers and exporters - to participate in this dynamic growth".
