What happens if after shipment processing the supplier realises my UPS Import Control shipment information has changed?
If after shipment processing is complete there is a change to the shipment information, you will need to instruct your supplier to notify you so that the initial shipment can be voided and a new shipment can be processed.

The following scenarios would require you to void a shipment and process a new shipment:

  • The number of boxes in the shipment changes
  • The weight of the packages changes or is improperly recorded

Note: If the weight is improperly recorded and the shipment is not voided and is processed through the UPS system, as the importer, you may receive a supplemental charge/billing once it has been determined there is a discrepancy.
