Account-specific Negotiated Rates allow you to view your negotiated rates current to the most recent week (including fuel surcharge and performance rates) timely and accurately. This enables you to better anticipate transportation costs and make more informed shipping decisions. Due to post shipment charges, like address corrections and other possible charges, the rates displayed may not exactly match your UPS bill.
Improving Your Business Processes
Account-specific Negotiated Rates can help eliminate time-consuming and costly manual processes used to estimate discounts, including:
Invoicing: UPS negotiated rates provided at the time of shipment allow you to invoice your customers sooner rather than waiting for receipt of the UPS carrier bill. You reduce Days Sales Outstanding.
Order Entry: UPS negotiated rates allow you to provide better service to your customers by providing accurate rate information at order entry.
Cost Allocation: UPS negotiated rates allow you to accurately allocate charges among functions or departments.
UPS Systems that Support Negotiated Rates
When you add UPS accounts to WorldShip or your ups.com profile, those accounts will automatically be enabled to display Negotiated Rates when you are creating a shipment or requesting and online quote. Please know you'll need a copy of your invoice to add an account to either WorldShip or your profile. You'll need to provide details from the bill before we add you as an authenticated user of the payment account.
You will no longer be required to contact your UPS sales person for assistance with activation in the following systems:
Negotiated rates will be available within each system within 24-48 hours (or sooner) once you have authenticated the UPS account.
