Rather than manually entering files of CampusShip data, administrators can import a file to add to an existing file or write over a list of existing information. To import a file, enter a file path and name, or Browse to the file location.
The import file must be a Comma Separated Value (.csv) file, a simple-text-only file in which each field is separated by a comma without spaces. Each record should be on its own line. The file must end with the .csv extension.
Using a comma as the field delimiter:
When importing information, use a comma to separate the information for each field. If a field is empty, a comma is required to "skip" to the next field. Thus, the format could contain multiple commas in a row without spaces.

A file is limited to approximately one megabyte. Depending on the information you are attempting to import, you may need to split the data into separate files.

At the end of each line of data, there is a carriage return/line feed (for example, an Enter character), which starts a new line.
You can easily create a .csv file from a spreadsheet program such as Microsoft Excel, and most other spreadsheet programs function the same way. Start with Excel running and the table containing the data displayed on your screen.
