CampusShip Support - Creating Reference Numbers

You can create up to three reference number lists as appropriate for your company's needs. Each reference value (the code or number in a shipping form) is restricted to 35 characters. The reference field name (the name you give the field on the form, such as Accounting Number) is restricted to 50 characters.

1. Select the Administration tab, and go to Manage Reference Numbers. Under one of the displayed Reference Number Lists (up to three are allowed), select Create Reference Numbers.
2. A Reference Number Information page displays. To quit the create action, select Cancel.
3. Enter the reference code in the Reference Number Value field. To help distinguish the reference code when viewing it in a list, enter an optional Reference Number Description.
   Note: Reference Number values must be unique within a Reference Number list.
4. Once you have entered all the information, select Continue. Make sure all required fields shown in bold contain acceptable and accurate data before submitting. If the update was not successful, a prompt informs you which fields should be modified or completed.
