Effective August 19, 2019, UPS will increase the Fuel Surcharge Index* by 1% for all fuel prices.
This revision helps to align more closely with costs, enabling UPS to maintain high standards of service for our customers.

Latest changes to 2019 UPS Rates and Service Guide include:
- The minimum age to secure a shipment release for Delivery Confirmation Adult Signature Required service will be revised from 18 to 21 years old. Consignees may be asked to provide a government-issued photo identification for age verification.
- Addition of International Dangerous Goods and Non-Compliance Surcharges.
- Shipping of jewelry, unset precious stones and industrial diamonds will no longer require an International Special Commodities contract.
Effective May 6, 2019, the following changes will come into effect:
· The Fuel Surcharge Index will increase by 1.25% for all fuel prices.
· The combined length and girth threshold for the Large Package Surcharge will change to 300cm (previously 330cm).
· The combined length and girth threshold for the Over-Maximum Limits Charge will change to 400cm (previously 419cm).
These revisions aim to reduce disruption to our operations, reflect the additional effort to serve, and enable us to maintain our high standards of service.
