Import Prohibited Articles

Any acts of unlawful interference such as communication of false information that may jeopardise the safety of an aircraft in flight or on the ground, passengers, crew, ground personnel or the general public is forbidden and punishable by law.

The following articles are prohibited from shipment to all countries served by UPS:

• Ammunition (classified as an explosive or ORM-D/Explosive)
• Bank bills, Notes, and Currency (other than checks or collectible coins)
• Corpses, Cremated, or Disinterred Remains (human or animal, in any form, including ashes)
• Hazardous Waste
• Marijuana, including marijuana intended for medical use (including hemp oil)
• Counterfeit
• Illegal Wildlife Product, including shark fins and ivory
• Opioids & Illicit Narcotics
• Explosives, including fireworks
• Illicit Tobacco
• Precursor Chemicals
• Shipments prohibited by law

Certain countries have additional items that are either prohibited or have restrictions for shipment. It is the shipper's responsibility to comply with current government regulations or laws applicable in each country.

UPS reserves the right to refuse or suspend transportation of any package which does not provide detailed contact information for shipper and receiver and of goods that, in our opinion, are not practicable for transportation or are not adequately described, classified or packed and labelled in a manner suitable for transportation and accompanied by necessary documentation.

UPS will not transport any goods that are prohibited by law or regulation of any federal, state or local government in the origin or destination countries, or that may breach any applicable export, import or other laws or endanger the safety of our employees, agents and subcontractors or the means of transportation or, that in our opinion, soil, taint or otherwise damage other goods or equipment or that are economically or operationally impractical to transport.

Shipping prohibited articles on a contractual basis with UPS:

Certain items listed as prohibited may be accepted by UPS on a contractual basis for shippers with regular volume and the ability to comply with all applicable regulations.

The items we can carry under certain criteria are:

• Alcoholic Beverages
• Animal products, non-domesticated (including clothing, ornamental pieces)
• Articles of Unusual Value (above USD50,000)
• Biological Substance, Category B
• CITES Shipments
• Dry Ice
• Electronic Cigarettes
• Firearms and weapons (including inert and replica explosive weapons)
• Furs
• Gold or Other Precious Metals
• Human Organs
• International Dangerous Goods (IDG)
• Knives
• Lithium Batteries
• Live Animals (fish, insects, and reptiles)
• Perishables (fresh meat and seafood)
• Personal Effects
• Plants
• Pornographic Materials (in any medium)
• Postage stamps
• Seeds
• Sword (for display and collection only)
• Tobacco (unmanufactured or manufactured, and tobacco products thereof)
• Used Merchandise
• Wine

Not all commodities can be shipped to all countries.
