You will be running your own package pick-up and delivery business working with UPS. UPS will ensure your company has consistent volume each day and will compensate your company for the work. This is a full-time business working 5-6 days a week (Saturday service in certain locations). You will need to hire drivers and maintain your vehicle fleet. Routes will vary by country, however the average Service Partner will have 20 – 30 pick-up and delivery routes per day.
The work of a package delivery business is fast-paced, hardworking, and always changing, you will need to provide the leadership for your team to get the work accomplished each day.
You can use an existing fleet of vehicles for delivery service. However, each service provider vehicle must pass a set of specifications for use. If you do not own any delivery vehicles right now, UPS will connect you with a provider.
Since UPS is your customer, there are no direct financial requirements to become a Service Partner. However, you will need the ability to acquire a fleet of vehicles and drivers to deliver. UPS can help support you with acquiring your fleet of vehicles. We do require you have general commercial liability insurance, including automotive and worker’s compensation.
