UPS offers shipping of alcoholic beverages (wine, beer, sparkling wine, spirits) on a contract basis only. For shipments containing alcoholic beverages, shippers must sign and enter into an approved UPS agreement for the transportation of alcohol as applicable, must be licensed and must be authorized under applicable law to sell and ship alcohol.
Contractual Service Only
All shippers who wish to ship alcoholic drinks must sign the UPS ISC Alcohol Shipping Addendum. UPS DOES NOT ACCEPT SHIPMENTS OF WINE FROM SHIPPERS WHO HAVE NOT ENTERED INTO ONE OF THESE AGREEMENTS.
Shipping Solution Requirements
All shipments of wine must be processed for shipment with a UPS Compatible Shipping solution such as WorldShip or CampusShip or any approved third-party vendor system.
Packaging Requirements
All UPS shipments must meet UPS packaging requirements for wine. UPS will accept inner packaging of moulded Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) foam, a folded corrugated tray or a moulded fibre tray. Each packaging component secures the bottles into the centre of the shipping container away from the side walls of the shipper. Sturdy outer corrugated containers are required. You may contact your UPS Sales person for UPS certified wine packaging.
