To calculate the delivery time for any shipment going anywhere served by UPS, go to Calculate Time and Cost, located on the main Shipping menu. Follow the directions, noting the required fields labelled with this symbol ★ .
When you create a shipment, you can assign it a reference name or number that aligns with your customers' or your business systems. This reference can contain letters and/or numbers, and can be a Purchase Order (PO) number, a customer’s job number, a Bill of Lading number or even a group of words that identifies the shipment. To use this reference to track your shipment, go to the main Tracking page and select Track by Reference. Input your reference in the Shipment Reference field, indicate whether your shipment is package or freight, and select your shipping dates. Then select the Track button.
Your package is still within the UPS network and, unless otherwise noted, should be delivered on the scheduled delivery date. Shipment movement information is captured each time a tracking label is scanned in the UPS delivery system. There may be several days between scans if the shipment is going cross-country or moving between countries.

Many shippers distribute tracking numbers to their customers prior to the electronic information being sent to UPS. Once the sender transmits their daily electronic information to UPS, you will be able to track your package. Some shippers do this as late as the next working day. Please continue to track your package here:
If the tracking number still shows as invalid after one working day, please contact the sender to verify that the item has been shipped. Until UPS shows an origin scan on your package on ups.com, we do not have any information on your package.
Origin Scan: UPS has your package and it is being processed for delivery.
Departure Scan: Your package has left this facility and will not be handled again until you see a 'destination scan'. Depending on various factors, such as how far your package is travelling and if it is in transit over a weekend, it could be several days until your package is handled again.
Out for delivery: Your package has been loaded on the vehicle and will be delivered today. Residential packages could be delivered as late as 8 p.m. If you want to get a smaller window of delivery, you need to sign up for UPS My Choice®
Exception: Your package was impacted by an unforeseen event. UPS is currently working to resolve the issue and will update the tracking information when the exception is resolved. UPS.com will continue to show the most up-to-date information while the issue is being resolved.
Enter your tracking number into the Tracking tool to see what day your package is due to arrive. Our drivers typically deliver between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Choose Send Updates from Tracking to receive email or text notifications.
To help ensure the safety of your package, the driver will try to leave your package out of plain sight. We recommend that you check all exterior doors and any locations where the package could be placed, including the porch, back patio, garage, and any area out of potential weather hazards. You should also check with anyone who might have retrieved the package. If you’re still unable to locate the package, contact the sender to start a claim.
Note: UPS urges package senders (rather than receivers) to initiate claims because package senders are in receipt of the most essential claim documents (invoices, receipts, detailed merchandise descriptions, tracking numbers, etc.).Learn How To Prepare a Claim Start a Claim
If ups.com Tracking shows that you have an "exception", it means an event or situation, such as a customs delay, may cause your delivery to be rescheduled. Check the Shipment Progress section in Tracking for details about changes in delivery schedule. Your team will need to get a UPS Shipping account in order to be invoiced. You'll specify the type of shipping you do when applying for the account. Once you receive your new account number, enrol in the UPS Billing Centre, making sure to choose "Freight" in the enrolment window. You can also use UPS CampusShip® or Quantum View Manage® in conjunction with Billing, to further integrate end-to-end services for your freight shipments.
When you register on ups.com, you'll be able to store your address book online, print labels and request tracking notifications. Depending on how much you ship and the level of support you need, you have the option to add functionality by signing up for a UPS Account, which will enable billing.
