Use the Custom Toolbar to Download or Install UPS WorldShip Upgrades

Note: In order to use these procedures, your internet connection method must be configured for Direct Access to the UPS Data Center.

You can use the custom toolbar to download a UPS WorldShip upgrade from the Web or to install a UPS WorldShip upgrade that was downloaded automatically.

If a download of a WorldShip upgrade is available on the Web:
 

Note: If you enabled the WorldShip Automatic Download system preference, WorldShip upgrades are downloaded to your PC automatically (see the procedure below).

1. WorldShip does one of the following:

2. If the custom toolbar is enabled, WorldShip inserts the Download WorldShip button in the first position on the toolbar.

3. If the custom toolbar is not enabled, WorldShip enables the toolbar and inserts the Download WorldShip button in the first position on the toolbar.

2. At your convenience, click the Download WorldShip button. WorldShip displays the Download WorldShip Web page for your country and language.

3. Follow the instructions as appropriate.

4. When the download and install are completed successfully, WorldShip removes the Download WorldShip button on the toolbar, and if the Download WorldShip button is the only button on the toolbar, WorldShip disables the toolbar.

5. If the download and install are not completed successfully (and even if the toolbar is not enabled), the toolbar with the Download WorldShip button appears each time you start WorldShip. Repeat steps 2 and 3.

If you enabled the WorldShip Automatic Download system preference (see Set Miscellaneous System Preferences) and a WorldShip upgrade was downloaded automatically:
 

Note: If you did not enable the WorldShip Automatic Download system preference, you can download WorldShip upgrades from the Web (see the procedure above).

1. In the WorldShip Upgrade window:

2. Click the Upgrade Now button to upgrade to the latest version of WorldShip now.

3. Click the Upgrade Later button to add the Upgrade WorldShip button to the toolbar so that you can begin the install later.

2. If you clicked the Upgrade Now button, the installation of the WorldShip upgrade occurs automatically.

3. If you clicked the Upgrade Later button and:

4. The custom toolbar is enabled, WorldShip inserts the Upgrade WorldShip button in the second position on the toolbar.

5. The custom toolbar is not enabled, WorldShip enables the toolbar and inserts the Upgrade WorldShip button in the first position of the toolbar.

4. At your convenience, click the Upgrade WorldShip button and follow the instructions to install the upgrade.

5. Continue as follows:

6. When the install is completed successfully, WorldShip removes the Upgrade WorldShip button on the toolbar, and if the Upgrade WorldShip button is the only button on the toolbar, WorldShip disables the toolbar.

7. If the install is not completed successfully (and even if the toolbar is not enabled), the toolbar with the Upgrade WorldShip button appears each time you start WorldShip. Repeat these steps to install the WorldShip upgrade.
