Close Out Air/Ground Freight Shipments

Notes:

To close out Air or Ground Freight shipments:

  1. Under either Air Freight or Ground Freight Pending Shipments in the Shipment History window, locate and select the level at which you want to close out. Information about that level appears on the right side of the window.

  2. On the Activities menu, click Close Out. The Freight Close Out window appears and shows the Shipment ID tab for Air Freight or the PRO No. tab for Ground Freight, which lists freight shipments available for close out.

    Tip:
The Ship To Company Name appears in parenthesis. If you process the shipment offline or do not enter the PRO No/Shipment ID, only the Ship To Company Name appears.

  3. Review and modify the list as needed:

  4. To add a shipment, select the desired freight shipment under Pending Shipments in the Shipment History window and click the Add button in the Freight Close Out window. UPS WorldShip adds the shipment to the list.

  5. To remove a shipment, select the shipment and click the Remove Selected button.

  6. To remove all shipments, click the Remove All button.

  1. For Ground Freight, select the Schedule Pickup check box to schedule a pickup for the shipments.

    Tip:
In order to schedule a pickup, all shipments must have the same Ship From address and shipper and must have been processed online.

  2. Click the Close Out button. The following occurs:

  3. For Air Freight, WorldShip sends the shipment information to Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) and prints all applicable reports and documents.

  4. For Ground Freight, WorldShip displays the Freight Pickup Request window to schedule a pickup (if you select the Schedule Pickup check box) and then sends the shipment information to UPS and prints all applicable report and documents.
