Preferences Tab in the Shipper Editor Window

The Preferences tab allows you to select a default profile; a graphical image to print on the label using the UPS thermal printer; a factor to determine how shipments are aggregated for a particular shipper; and documents to print such as the UPS Copy, UPS Turn-In Copy, and Shipper's Copy.

Using the Preferences tab:

  1. Click the down arrow in the Profile box and select a profile.

  2. To print a graphical image on the label, click the Select Image button. See Set Up for Thermal 4 x 8 1/4 Labels with Extended Area.

  3. Under Aggregation:

  4. To turn on aggregation, select the Aggregate Shipments at End of Day check box (or the Aggregate Shipments at Close Out for Trade Direct shippers); to turn off aggregation, clear the check box.

  5. To aggregate by reference number, click the down arrow in the Reference Number box and select the appropriate reference number.

  6. To aggregate by shipment Quantum View Notify, select the Shipment Quantum View Notify check box. If you do not select this check box, shipments with the same consignee and service will be aggregated even if the shipments have different Shipment Quantum View Notify information. If you select this check box, similar shipments with different Shipment Quantum View Notify information will not be aggregated.

  7. To aggregate by Handling Charge, select the Handling Charge check box. If you do not select this check box, shipments with a Handling Charge will be aggregated even if each shipment has a different Handling Charge; the Handling Charge from the new shipment will overwrite the Handling Charge from the existing shipment. If you select this check box, like shipments with different Handling Charges will not be aggregated.
