US Certificate of Origin (CO)
Note: The US Certificate of Origin (CO) is used only if the origin of the shipment is the United States or Puerto Rico.
A US CO authenticates the country of origin of the goods being shipped. Some nations restrict imports from certain countries; many countries limit the quantity of goods that are allowed to be imported or give preference to goods manufactured in the US.
A US CO is required by some importing countries for certain goods. Since these criteria change often, be sure to verify the current criteria requiring a US CO before sending your shipment. For a list of destination countries and goods that require a US CO, see ups.com/globaladvisor.
To process a US CO using UPS WorldShip, use one of the following methods:
Print and Attach US COs to Shipments - WorldShip can print US COs as needed. See Print International Documents using UPS WorldShip.
Submit Paperless US COs to UPS - UPS can prepare and submit US COs on your behalf as needed. This method eliminates your need to print and attach US COs to your shipments. See Submit Paperless International Documents to UPS.
Notes:
If the goods qualify as North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) goods, use the NAFTA CO instead of the US CO.
The CO for a UPS World Ease
