In the U.S., Canada, and Europe, your UPS package cannot be scheduled to arrive at a specific time of day. UPS Ground and UPS Standard packages are delivered between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Up-to-date information about the status of your shipment is available through the Tracking application.

Yes, after the first delivery attempt has been made, you have the option to designate another delivery address for your package. A UPS InfoNotice® will be left by the UPS driver to indicate that a delivery attempt was made. Simply write the address you would like to have the shipment delivered to on the "Comments Line" on the front of the UPS InfoNotice.  This alternate address must be in close proximity to your address (for example, a neighbor's address).

You may also change your delivery options on ups.com. Select the Tracking tab and enter your 12-digit InfoNotice number. In the Package Progress section, select the link to Choose Another Delivery Option. You will have four options to select:

• Will Call: UPS will hold your package at a nearby location for you to collect.
• Delivery to Another Address: Provide a different delivery address for the package.
• Reschedule Delivery: Specify a future date you want UPS to deliver the package.
• Return to Sender: UPS will return the package to the sender.

If you have a Locations tab at the top of this page, select the tab. Then select Find Locations from the area on the left.

If you do not have a Locations tab, go to the Shipping tab and select Find Locations from the area on the left.  Enter your address or phone number to find the UPS location closest to you.

Your package is still within the UPS network and, unless otherwise noted, should be delivered on the Scheduled Delivery Date. Package movement information is captured each time a tracking label is scanned in the UPS delivery system.

Common scans you might see when tracking your package:

• Billing Information Received: UPS has received the electronic transmission of shipment detail from the shipper and a label has been created for your shipment. Once UPS has possession of this shipment, the tracking status will be updated.
• Origin: The package has been received at the origin UPS location.
  Departure: The package has left the originating location and is on its way toward the destination address.
• Arrival: The package has arrived at an intermediate UPS facility or the destination facility closest to the delivery address.
• Out for Delivery: The shipment has reached the local UPS facility responsible for delivery. The shipment has been dispatched to a UPS driver and is scheduled for delivery today.
• Delivered: UPS has delivered the shipment. The date and time of delivery have been recorded in the UPS delivery system.
• Exception: Your shipment is currently within the UPS network; however, an unforeseen event has occurred which could result in a change to the Scheduled Delivery Date.

Three days means three business days (not counting the day of pickup). Please note that the UPS Service Guarantee applies only to business days, and excludes weekends, holidays, and any delays that occur beyond the control of UPS.

1. Log in to My UPS.
2. Select the Shipping tab at the top of the page.
3. Select Create a Shipment in the area at the left, and then select View History or Void Shipment.
4. Select the radio button next to the shipment you want to void.
5. Select Void Shipment.

First, look on the UPS InfoNotice^® to see if any instructional boxes are checked. You may be able to sign the back of the UPS InfoNotice, authorizing the driver to leave your shipment. Or, in the comments section, you may designate another address where the shipment should be delivered.

You can also change the delivery address or give us other instructions at ups.com. Enter your 12-digit UPS InfoNotice number on the Tracking page. Select the Track button. This will take you to the Tracking Summary page. Click on the Tracking Number link to get more detail about your shipment. In the Package Progress section, select the link to Choose Another Delivery Option. You can choose one of these four options:

• Will Call (UPS will hold your package at a nearby location for you to collect)
• Deliver to Another Address (Provide a different delivery address for the package)
• Reschedule Delivery (Specify a future date you want UPS to deliver the package)
• Return to Sender (UPS will return the package to the sender)

Make your selection and choose the Next button. Regardless of your selection of delivery option, UPS requires additional information to complete delivery. Complete the required forms and select Finish. UPS will then send you a Confirmation page that you can print for your records.

You can help make sure that your package arrives safely and on time with these packaging guidelines and procedures developed from UPS research.

• Use a rigid box with flaps intact.
• Remove any labels, hazardous materials indicators, and other previous and now irrelevant shipment markings from the box.
• Wrap all items separately.
• Use adequate cushioning material.
• Use strong tape designed for shipping.
• Do not use string or paper over-wrap.
• Use a single address label that has clear, complete delivery and return information.
• Place a duplicate address label inside the package.
  

My UPS offers enhanced features for tracking, such as online Proof of Delivery. With Proof of Delivery, you can find out what time a shipment arrived at its destination and generate a Proof of Delivery letter for your records.

To request Proof of Delivery, follow the instructions below:

1. Log in to My UPS.
2. Select the Tracking tab at the top of the page. This will take you to the Tracking main page.
3. Enter your Tracking Number in the input field, or select a previously saved tracking number.
4. Select Track.
5. Select Proof of Delivery on the Tracking Detail page to display a printable Delivery Notification page.

Yes, UPS generally delivers to residential addresses Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., and to business addresses during their normal business hours.

UPS has received the electronic transmission of shipment detail from the shipper and a label has been created for your shipment. UPS does not actually have possession of this package until there is an additional scan on the package.

No action is required at this time. You may choose to contact the sender to confirm that they have given the shipment to UPS. If they have, the shipment is currently moving within the UPS network and will be delivered on the Scheduled Delivery Date. This is the most up-to-date information about the status of your shipment.
