UPS's IT and data operations landed the company on Uptime's Global Green 100 list. Corporations were recognized for demonstrating a high-level commitment to increasing energy efficiency and reducing carbon footprint.

UPS ranked 46th out of 500 in InformationWeek's 2009 Ranking Of The Most Innovative Business Technology Organizations.

UPS CIO Dave Barnes was named in e-Week magazine's list of Top 100 Most Influential People in IT.  The list was described as a compilation of men and women who are "shaping the future of the way we use technology."

UPS SCS ranked No. 20 on Traffic World magazine's list of "Wired for Speed" Top Warehouse Service Providers. Rankings were based on the total square footage of warehouse space.

UPS was named winner of an Uptime Institute Green Enterprise IT Award. Presented by the Uptime Institute.

A work group at UPS's Windward Data Center in Alpharetta, GA was recognized for energy conservation measures implemented at their site. The group was honored in the the "Facilities Site Physical Infrastructure (Power and Cooling) Overhead" category.

The Uptime Institute is a research-based think tank and advisor on business and technology issues related to computing and energy efficiency.

UPS was listed as one of InformationWeek magazine's Top 500 Companies, based on innovative use of technology.

UPS Delivery Intercept was recognized by InfoWorld as one of the top 100 IT projects undertaken by tech leaders committed to pushing their organizations forward. The complete implementation affected workstations and servers in 1,000 buildings and required functional changes to the 60,000 mobile devices these buildings deploy each day.
