I tried to add my child, who has a different last name, to my membership but UPS My Choice did not recognize the information. Why?

The process used to verify your identity when you enrolled in UPS My Choice® is the same process used to verify the identity of other household members you add to your membership.

For those household members who have a last name different from yours, additional security questions will be required to verify their identity.

The verification process uses public record information. For children, usually under the age of 18, this information typically doesn't exist. For these situations it's best to have packages addressed to you or other verified household members and include the child's name on a secondary address line with Attention or Care of.
