What is an Occasional Account?
An Occasional Account gives you the convenience of weekly billing even if you don't require daily pickup. UPS Retail rates will be billed to your UPS Account. More information about UPS Retail rates can be found in the UPS Rates section of the UPS Tariff/Terms and Conditions of Service under the Support tab. With an Occasional Account, you can ship all types of letters and packages using UPS Internet Shipping, which allows you to print shipping labels from your computer, or go to any UPS customer service location. You can also order Air Shipping Documents (ASDs) and Waybills online by selecting Get UPS Labels, Paks, and More from the Shipping home page. You must have a UPS Account number to order these supplies.

With this account, you decide when and if you need to schedule a pickup or drop off your shipments. Once you have prepared your shipment on UPS.com, you have the following options:

  • Schedule an On-Call PickupSM to have your shipment picked up by a UPS driver for a nominal fee.
  • Hand your shipment to any UPS driver in your area.
  • Take your shipment to The UPS Store®, a UPS Customer Center, an Authorized Shipping Outlet, or a UPS Drop Box.
  • Drop off your shipments at one of the 60,000 UPS locations.
