UPS Standard Dangerous Goods Service between Canada and the U.S.

UPS transports dangerous goods via UPS Standard Service between Canada and the U.S.

Service Details

  • The accessorial charge is the same as the domestic U.S. hazardous materials surcharges (see applicable UPS rate chart).
  • Current hazardous materials shippers will be eligible for the service expansion via their existing domestic (U.S.) hazardous materials contract.
  • In order to use the service, customers must use a UPS compliant shipping solution in conjunction with hazardous materials shipment preparation software.
  • The UPS Chemical Table on UPS.com has been updated with the dangerous goods that may be transported in this service (see column 8 in the 49 CFR domestic chemical table).
  • The service will require shippers to use a new Dangerous Goods Shipping Paper to be in compliance with TDG regulatory requirements. See sample Shipping Paper below.

Delivery Service is restricted in some areas of Canada. For additional information regarding this service, please contact the UPS Hazardous Materials Support Center at 1-800-554-9964.
