UPS Ready Program FAQ

What is the UPS Ready Program?
The UPS ReadyTM Program combines the features of the former OnLine Compatible Vendor Program, and the Service Provider and Product Provider Programs into a single program that recognizes your expertise and rewards you for the total impact you have in the technology marketplace. The program delivers valuable tools and resources to help your organization and our mutual customers be successful. It is open to all eligible solution providers. The program categorizes providers into four groups: Application Providers, Marketplace Providers, Service Providers, and Technology Providers.

What are the program levels?
The UPS Ready Program offers two levels of participation with increasing benefits to match increasing requirements: Authorized and Select.

Authorized Providers

The Authorized Provider tier represents the basic level of participation in the UPS Ready Program. The Authorized Provider tier stipulates a set of program benefits and requirements for the provider and UPS. Participation at this tier level is open to all program applicants who can meet the terms and conditions of the License Agreement.

Select Providers

Authorized Providers that demonstrate a higher degree of alignment with UPS objectives and market focus may apply to join the Select tier. Select Providers must meet the requirements at this commitment level in addition to those required of Authorized Providers. For further information, contact your UPS Ready Program representative.

Is there a fee to join the program?
There is no fee for participating in the UPS Ready Program. Applicants should, however, note that fees may be associated with training and certification. Consult your UPS representative for details.

What types of Solutions Providers should join the program?
Consider joining the program if your company provides services, develops hardware or software solutions, or distributes software based on UPS technologies. Such services include, but are not limited to, consulting, implementation, training, custom application development, software migration, integration, e-commerce solution development, and Web and application hosting.

Where can I find information on the program?
To find more information on the program, select the Business Solutions tab, above, and then choose UPS Ready Program under Portfolio of Services.

How long should it take me to complete the enrollment application?
Typical completion times range from 20-30 minutes.

How will I know that my registration has been received?
At the end of the enrollment process, a confirmation page will display. Print and retain the confirmation page for your records. This acknowledges that UPS has received your enrollment application. You will then receive a notice indicating that UPS has either accepted or rejected the enrollment or requires additional information from you.

My company was in a prior program (OnLine Compatible Vendor, Product Provider, or Service Provider). Must I re-enroll?
No. If you were previously a participant in any of these programs, you will automatically be enrolled in the new UPS Ready Program.

What if I do not meet the program's requirements?
A UPS Ready Program representative will assist each applicant in the application process. If a prospective provider does not meet the program requirements, an explanation will be provided so that they have an opportunity to surmount barriers to approval.

How do I request a higher participation level?
You can request a higher participation level by re-enrolling. You must, however, meet all requirements for the level at which you want to participate. You will receive a notice indicating whether UPS has accepted or rejected your request.

How does the program support my business?
The UPS Ready Program provides the marketing, sales, relationship, and technical support necessary for delivering UPS-enabled solutions to customers.

What benefits do program members receive?
The benefits you receive are based both on your category and program level you have earned. You can learn more about benefits by selecting the Business Solutions tab, above, then choosing UPS Ready Program under Portfolio of Services.

When and how will I receive program benefits?
Providers will be able to access benefits immediately following their application approval. Each provider will receive a marketing kit from their assigned UPS Ready Program representative, as well as other informative and instructional materials. In addition, new benefits may be introduced over time.

Are optional benefits available?
Yes. The UPS Ready Program offers optional benefits, based on your program level. Consult your relationship coordinator for details.

Does my company's UPS Ready Provider status apply outside the U.S.?
The current UPS Ready Program is for the United States and Canada only. The program will be expanded in the future to include other countries.

Who can be listed in the UPS Ready Solution Directory?
All participants are eligible to be listed in the UPS Ready Solution Directory.

Where is my listing in the UPS Ready Solution Directory?
You can be included in the UPS Ready Solution Directory once you are accepted into the UPS Ready Program. To be listed, send your product description and the URL for a link to your company's Web site together with a graphical version of your company logo (preferably in JPEG format) to your UPS Ready Program representative. The directory is updated by UPS monthly.

How are listings organized in the UPS Ready Solution Directory?
UPS Ready Solutions are listed according to their category, sub-category, and level of participation. Listings within a category, sub-category, and participation level will be shown in alphabetical order.

How do I update my company information?
Contact your UPS Ready Program representative with all changes to company information, contacts, and other product-related information.
