What is the best way to get started with the Billing Analysis Tool?

The best way to get started with the Billing Analysis Tool is to refer to the Quick Start section in the User Guide. You can download the User Guide from the Download Billing Data Tool page. To navigate to the page, select Get Billing Data Downloads below.

Must I re-register when I install a new version of the tool, or if I buy a new computer?

Yes, you must re-register the tool whenever you install a new version, or if you buy a new computer and download the tool to it. You must register the tool for each computer on which it has been installed.

Can multiple employees simultaneously use the Billing Analysis Tool?

Yes, multiple employees can simultaneously use the tool. It is designed for both multi-user and single-user environments.

My reports display incorrect data. What could be wrong?

If reports display incorrectly, first make sure you are viewing a billing data file provided by UPS. If you have previously opened the data file in other applications, added or deleted columns, or otherwise changed the data file, these actions could cause the tool to display incorrect data. Also, confirm that the the start and end dates you entered are accurate. Third, go to the Management Reports tab in the tool and select the Consolidated Billing Summary report. That report should match your paper bill or PDF invoice. If you modified the customizable version of the Billing Analysis Tool, check the modifications you made to the tool.

How can I check that the billing data file matches my UPS paper bill (or PDF format invoice)?

To check that the billing data file matches your UPS paper bill or PDF invoice, go to the Management Reports tab on the Billing Analysis Tool. Select the Consolidated Billing Summary report and enter a start and end date identical to the start and end dates on the paper bill or PDF invoice.

The Billing Analysis Tool does not meet all my needs. Can I customize the reports?

Yes, you can customize the reports if you have downloaded the customizable version of the tool. Those with experience in developing Microsoft Access® reports will find the technical documentation useful.
