UPS will conveniently hold on to your packages for a limited time
Overview
Hold for Pickup allows you to pick up your packages at a convenient UPS facility.
- Packages are delivered to the UPS facility of your choice and UPS calls the consignee by telephone for pickup
- Packages are usually available by 8:30 a.m. on the scheduled day of delivery
- Packages not picked up within five business days from the date of arrival will be returned to the shipper
- Hold for Pickup service is not available for Saturday delivery shipments

Instructions
To request Hold for Pickup:
- Call UPS Customer Service to determine the most convenient UPS-staffed Customer Center location.
- Complete an address label showing the words "Hold for Pickup," and enter the consignee's name, telephone number, the name of a contact person, and the full address of the UPS facility for each package.
- Apply a UPS Hold for Pickup label above the address label on the package.
When picking up the package, the recipient is required to present a government issued photo ID, such as driver's license, passport, military ID, etc. If a customer's representative or agent is picking up the package, a release letter or a company ID is required.
