Wireless Set Up

Use these instructions to set up your wireless phone, personal digital assistant (PDA), or pager to get information about your UPS shipments.

In the left-hand navigation, select the My UPS link. In the left-hand navigation, select the Wireless Profile link. Select Wireless Phone. (If you already set up a wireless device, you will first need to select the Add Device button on the Wireless Profile page.) Enter your 10-digit wireless phone number. Verify the system has detected your phone carrier. Select your phone's manufacturer. Select your phone's model. Select SMS Messaging or Web-enabled Phone. If you're not sure if your phone includes these services, please check with your wireless carrier. At this point, a confirmation code will be sent to wireless phone. If you have not received your confirmation code, you can still continue and save your settings. To complete the process, however, you must confirm your wireless device by selecting the Confirm button from the Wireless Profile page.

In the left-hand navigation, select the My UPS link. In the left-hand navigation, select the Wireless Profile link. Select PDA Device. (If you already set up a wireless device, you will first need to select the Add Device button on the Wireless Profile page.) Select Palm VII or Browser-Based PDA. Establish a unique name to keep track of your PDA. This will come in handy if you register another kind of wireless device, like a digital phone or pager. If you selected Browser-Based PDA, you've completed the activation process. If you selected Palm VII, you still need to download the UPS software before you begin using your wireless device.

In the left-hand navigation, select the My UPS link. In the left-hand navigation, select the Wireless Profile link. Select Paging Device. (If you already set up a wireless device, you will first need to select the Add Device button on the Wireless Profile page.) Establish a unique name to keep track of your PDA. This will come in handy if you register another kind of wireless device, like a digital phone or pager. Select the Continue button to view your Wireless Profile.
