Most newer digital wireless phones will work with UPS Wireless. Check with your cellular provider to determine if your phone and plan include the ability to send/receive text messages (SMS) or browse the Internet (WAP).

SMS is an abbreviation for Short Message Service. A digital phone with SMS messaging allows you to receive text messages on the display screen and interact to access on-demand information. If your phone has SMS messaging capabilities, you can use it to send and receive text messages to access UPS services.

WAP is an abbreviation for Wireless Application Protocol. WAP-enabled devices have micro-browsers, which allow users to access minimal content Web sites and to interact with applications. WAP-enabled mobile devices have evolved with browser capabilities equivalent to desktop systems. Additionally, new methods for Web content or application development have evolved to provide better continuity of the user experience. What customers see on the desktop system is now closely mimicked on mobile device displays.

Before you can access UPS Wireless, check these conditions:
- Your mobile device must include the ability to either browse the Internet or send/receive SMS text messages.
- Your cellular plan must include services to either browse the Internet or send/receive SMS text messages.
- You are in a digital coverage area (your carrier can provide digital coverage zones).
- You have not blocked the Caller ID feature on your phone.
- You created a My UPS account (if you don't already have one).
- You created a UPS Wireless Profile and registered your mobile device telephone number.

Yes, you can set up multiple wireless devices. They will be stored in your Wireless Profile for your reference.

You can add another wireless device by selecting Add Device on the Wireless Profile page.

You can delete a wireless device by selecting Delete for the device you want to remove on the Wireless Profile page.

A PIN is necessary the first time you navigate to mobile.ups.com on your device and is a layer of security to identify your registered phone number and device. With your registered access, you can take advantage of time-saving convenience features, such as storing up to five tracking numbers in your profile for faster updates.

After you have completed your mobile device registration, return to the Wireless Profile page to create your PIN. Select the Change PIN link.

A confirmation code is needed for security reasons and to validate the mobile telephone number registered to a particular device. In the event that you did not receive a confirmation code, you can choose to have a new code sent to you by visiting the UPS Wireless Profile setup section within the My UPS portal.

If you haven't received your UPS Wireless confirmation code, you can request to have one sent to you. Select Confirm on the Wireless Profile page and select the option to have your code sent to you.

You can access UPS Wireless with your mobile device by using any of these methods:
- WAP: Navigate to mobile.ups.com on your mobile device.
- 1 Way SMS Text Message: Call our UPS Wireless Services number 1-877-238-3635 and receive a text message response.
- 2 Way SMS Text Message: Send a text message to MYUPS (69877) and receive a text message response.
