UPS Paperless® Invoice saves three sheets of paper for each international shipment because the information is sent electronically to customs agencies around the world. Not only do you reduce the risk of customs delays, you save time and trees along the way. As a matter of fact, if all UPS customers converted to paperless invoices, 86 million sheets of paper could be eliminated every year.

UPS Paperless Invoice works seamlessly with UPS shipping systems--WorldShip®, UPS CampusShip®, UPS Internet Shipping, and UPS Ready® vendor systems with the WorldShip 10.0 update, and approved host manifest shipping systems. There's no need for any additional software and it is free of charge.

Packaging
Reusable Envelopes from UPS. They're Even Greener Than They Look.
UPS Reusable Express Envelopes are the easy way to use a single envelope for two shipments. Here's how it works: for a document that needs to be returned, ship it in the reusable envelope. The receiver simply removes the old label, attaches the new label, and seals it securely with the second strip of adhesive that is built right in on the envelope. This cuts down on waste by allowing one envelope to be used twice, and provides a convenient alternative for shippers, like mortgage brokers and attorneys, that have to ship documents for their clients to sign and return.  Look for the green envelope in your mail room.

Recycled and Recyclable
We introduced the industry's first Reusable Express Envelope in 1998. Made from 100% recycled fiber with 80% post-consumer waste and fully recyclable, our Reusable Express Envelopes are just one of the many ways UPS is promoting a more environmentally friendly way to do business. If you are looking for green alternatives to standard packaging materials, many locations of The UPS Store offer IVOX™ by Smart Karton, Inc. IVOX is an innovative, earth-friendly packaging that eliminates the need for bubble cushioning and packaging peanuts for less-fragile items. IVOX uses a self-sealing film to securely hold the contents of the package to the carton and is available exclusively at participating locations of The UPS Store. You can also bring your packaging peanuts to many locations of The UPS Store for recycling.

Save Time, Save Paper with Paperless Billing from UPS
Signing up for paperless billing not only saves trees but it offers you a secure way to view your UPS shipping bill online. You'll be notified through e-mail when your bill is available. And you'll be able to pay your invoices even faster by scheduling payments online. Paperless billing gives you the ability to invoice your customers days earlier, while ensuring that payments are applied accurately and with immediate adjustments.

UPS offers four free options for electronic billing:

• UPS PDF Invoice allows customers with UPS domestic, import, and LTL invoices to download an exact copy of their bill.
• UPS Billing Center is an online tool for customers to view and pay their domestic and import invoices and manage multiple accounts from a central location.
• UPS Billing Data, in combination with the Billing Analysis Tool, allows users to receive complete billing information that can be customized to create reports. Available in multiple countries, it can help customers manage global transportation through a single billing channel.
• Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is a solution for large-volume shippers. It automatically transfers billing data between UPS and the user's accounting system, consolidating invoices and streamlining the billing process.

Here's a way for everyone to save. You save money by selecting our most environmentally-friendly and low cost pickup option, UPS Smart Pickup^SM. UPS saves on fuel costs by reducing driver visits. We both help the environment by reducing carbon emissions.

Big Savings for Regular Shippers
UPS Smart Pickup allows you to schedule a pickup only when you need one. You simply process a shipment through Worldship®, UPS Internet Shipping or UPS CampusShip, and a pickup is automatically scheduled. If no packages are processed, we will not pick up on that day. In exchange for your stake in improving the environment, we reward you with the lowest possible rates for your pickups. This is one option that is smart for everyone.
