How do you turn returns
into revenue?
With a smart returns
strategy from UPS
Turn Returns into Your Advantage
The UPS
Returns® Flexible Access service is an innovative contractual returns
service from UPS. With our unique UPS Returns Flexible Access shipping
label, your customers can drop returns at any UPS or U.S. Postal
Service® (USPS) location, including their own mailboxes. When a
package is given to UPS it moves through our system like other packages. But
when a UPS Returns Flexible Access package is given to the USPS, it is scanned
and then picked up by UPS for delivery back to the original shipper by a
UPS Ground service.
Whether it's an online purchase, repair part, traditional retail exchange, or
documents that require signatures, the return is as easy as any other shipment,
for you and your customers. A flexible returns process eases customer concerns
and can lead to increased sales, helping you stand out from your
competitors.
A New Level of Convenience For Your Customers
- Your customers can send returns through The UPS Store®, UPS Drop Boxes, UPS Customer Centers, daily pickups, authorized shipping outlets, our alliance locations, or by handing them to a driver
- They can also use all USPS drop boxes, residential mailboxes, postal carriers, postal centers, or request a free USPS pickup at www.usps.com
- When you use Returns Technology your customers can submit returns from your company website
And Convenience For You
No consolidation means faster pickups and transit times back to your operation
- No waiting for full loads. Once a package arrives at a local Post Office™, it is scanned by the USPS and then picked up by UPS who delivers it back to the original shipper

- Packages dropped off with the USPS typically require two or more days in addition to regular UPS Ground time in transit for delivery
