Receiving a Package

After a Delivery Attempt

If you're expecting a package, but you've missed the first attempt at delivery, you have options.

The UPS InfoNotice® lets you know we tried, but were unable to deliver your package.

Using your UPS InfoNotice, you can reschedule the delivery of your package. Just log on to My UPS and enter your UPS InfoNotice number in the Tracking field on the home page or the Tracking page. Or call 1-800-PICK-UPS® (1-800-742-5877) and talk to a customer service representative.

With either of these options, you can request one of the following:

  • Pickup my Package at a UPS Location: Have your package held at a UPS location such as The UPS Store, a UPS Access Point™ location, or a UPS Customer Center.
  • Deliver my Package to Another Address: Have your package delivered to another address when you will not be home.
  • Deliver my Package on a Another Day: Have your package delivered on a different day.
(A fee is assessed for all delivery change requests except Pick up at a UPS Location and Return to Sender. Your payment card will be billed only upon the redelivery of your package.)

Or you can choose to have UPS attempt another delivery--we will make up to three delivery attempts. After the third delivery attempt your package may be returned to the shipper.
