Malaysia - New Regulation on Wood Packaging Material
Service Update

Updated Friday, June 25, 2010

Effective July 1, 2010, all import shipments into Malaysia with wood packing/packaging must be heat treated with markings on the wood or fumigated with certification. All WPM (wood packaging material) must be declared in the invoice & packing list accordingly. Shippers will need to declare information on the type of packing materials used through the appropriate Customs Declaration Form either electronically or manually.

Please note that any non-compliant shipments received by UPS would be placed on hold in the destination country under the care of local Customs authorities.

Please contact your local Account Executive or Customer Service Representatives for more information.

Please visit this website for regular updates.
