UPS Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) are programming instructions and standards for accessing and integrating UPS functionality into your e-commerce website or enterprise applications. There are two different types of APIs; both use Extensible Markup Language (XML). The first type uses straight XML; while the second type uses Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) and Web Service Definition Language (WSDL).
These APIs give your customers the ability to track products they have purchased online, compare and choose from a variety of shipping services that best serve their needs, and handle shipping logistics more efficiently than ever before.
Available APIs:
- Address Validation API: Verify the city, state, and ZIP or postal code information is valid.
- Address Validation Street Level API: Verify the street address, city, state, and ZIP or postal code information is valid.
- Locator API: Search for UPS shipping locations based on type and available service.
- Collection API: Request a collection for you or for one of your customers.
- Quantum View® API: Stream QVD via XML over the Web and into internal applications.
- Rating API: Compare delivery services and shipping rates to determine the best option for your customers.
- Shipping API: Validate addresses, compare rates, and print labels for your internal business processes.
- Tracking API: Provide accurate package status information to your customers.
- Time in Transit API: Compare shipping transit times of UPS services.
- UPS Signature Tracking® API: Obtain proof of delivery containing a digitised signature and delivery address.
