SINGAPORE, September 10, 2009 - UPS today announced the
appointment of Christopher Grubb as Vice President of UPS Asia Pacific region.
Based in Singapore, he will oversee all marketing, retail, and advertising and
public relations activities in the region. Chris Grubb takes over from Joseph
Guerrisi who served in the same position for five years and has recently taken a
new role at UPS's headquarters in Atlanta.
Prior to his current assignment, Chris was the Europe Region Customer
Relationship Management (CRM) and Planning Director based in Brussels, Belgium.
In this role he was responsible for customer communication, CRM programs and
systems development for more than 100 countries throughout Europe, Middle East
and Africa.
Chris began his career with UPS in 1989 as a part time package handler while
attending Illinois State University. After receiving his MBA from Illinois
State University, he assumed a full-time position with UPS in Decatur, Illinois
in 1994 as Marketing Supervisor. In 1996, he joined the Corporate
Marketing group in Atlanta and held various positions of increasing
responsibility. During his time in Corporate Marketing, he led several
initiatives to improve strategic market planning and customer-focused product
development.
