UPS Foundation brings hope to Operation Smile beneficiaries
Press Release
United Parcel Service Philippines through the UPS Foundation donated US$45,700 to Operation Smile, a worldwide medical charity that offers free corrective surgery for children with cleft lips and cleft palates. The charity organizes more than 30 medical mission sites in 26 countries annually. In 2007, medical volunteers helped over 9,000 children. UPS Managing Director Tim Gohoc said that their contribution is consistent with UPS' commitment to reach out to local communities through hands-on community service or by funding programs that can demonstrate positive changes for the people who need them most.
