New Customs Regulation for Shipments into Vietnam
Service Update

Updated Friday, June 3, 2011

With immediate effect (June 1, 2011), local Customs authorities have prohibited the shipping of mobile phones (excluding accessories and parts), cosmetics and alcoholic beverages into Vietnam via air transportation modes (Express & Freight).

However, these commodities can be imported using Ocean Freight via the following three ports of entry:

1) Hai Phong
2) Da Nang
3) Ho Chi Minh

The importer should obtain an import license from the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) prior to shipping.

Please note that any non-compliance may result in Customs penalties.

Please contact your local Account Executive or Customer Service Representatives for more information.

Please visit this website for regular updates.
