Customs Announcement in China (Announcement No. 103)
Service Update

Updated Thursday, April 21, 2011

This is a gentle reminder to inform customers that the Chinese Customs Authorities have reinforced regulations which will apply to all import shipments to China.

Please note that a packing list, provided by the shipper in addition to the commercial invoice, should specify the total number of packages and a brief description of the contents of each package.

A packing list is required as follows:

  • For all high value import shipments (above RMB5,000) into China.

  • For Formal Entry Shipments - shipments requiring import license/permit/quota/special clearance documents; and/or shipments where consignee is expected of a special requirement (e.g. repair & return, duty exempted shipments and etc).

  • For shipments over 100 kg in weight.

We seek your support to ensure all necessary documentations are in order prior to shipping so as to prevent unnecessary delays to your shipments.
