UPS Strengthens Its Portfolio of Domestic Services in Mexico
Press Release

UPS announces the launch of UPS Standard domestic service and improvement to UPS Express Saver

Mexico City, Feb. 13, 2014 - UPS® (NYSE: UPS) announced the launch of UPS Standard® service in Mexico, a new solution for non-urgent domestic deliveries, and enhancement to its existing UPS Express Saver® service. The new domestic UPS Standard service provides customers with a more economical option for non-urgent domestic deliveries.

Through UPS Standard service, UPS Mexico seeks to increase its advantages and better meet customers' demands through the company's domestic solutions portfolio. This guaranteed service covers more than 660 origin and destination routes with a day-definite delivery time of 2-5 business days. This delivery option offers companies that are able to plan their deliveries ahead of time, access to a reliable and secure service.

To enhance delivery of urgent shipments, the company has improved its UPS Express Saver service by offering greater flexibility for urgent deliveries. Now, more than 1,400 origin and destination combinations are guaranteed one-day UPS Express Saver routes. With this strengthened service, customers can rely on UPS to handle their urgent shipments throughout the country.

"Strengthening our product portfolio is a part of our strategy to increase our one-day coverage, offering the Mexican market more reliable, accessible and guaranteed services," said Agustin Picado, UPS Mexico general director. "UPS Standard and UPS Express Saver provide time-in-transit flexibility, allowing us to better serve the needs of our customers."

Companies in the industrial, automotive and retail sectors continue to search for new options that will allow them to ship their products without delays or difficulties related to delivery times. Both products offer our customers time-in-transit with a money-back guarantee.

Improvements to the coverage offered by UPS Express Saver next-day delivery and UPS Standard service are now available as part of the following shipping systems:
  • UPS Internet ShippingTM
  • CampusShipSM
  • UPS Developer Kit
  • UPS WorldShip® 16.0 and more recent versions

These improvements in the domestic portfolio result from the company's commitment to offer competitive advantages to Mexican companies. Through these new solutions, UPS continues to innovate and offer options tailored to each industry, including a less-time sensitive delivery option and an extended next-day delivery service.
