The Guide of Post Payment System
Dear UPS customers,

UPS Korea Express Co, Ltd is pleased to announce that the post payment system is implemented in order to deliver your packages quickly in November 2007. Term of payment is changed according to customs act 2003-1.

  1. What is "The post payment system"?

The PPS is an advanced customs tool that allows our customers to pay their duty and tax amount to KCS directly after delivery service is complete.  Customers can pay any bank near to the office or via internet banking and postal office (Total of Duty and Tax is below KRW 750,000. Individual shipment is excluded.)

  2. How to pay duty & Tax and to issue Tax receipts.

    • Customers should pay duty and tax at a convenient bank, post office or via internet banking to KCS directly within 15 days after duty, tax is confirmed by KCS.

    • How to issue Tax receipt:  Customer can obtain Tax receipts from (http://www.customs.go.kr) or (http//tax.keci.co.kr:7000/)

  3. Remark on non-payment

    1. Customer should pay within 15 days after duty bill is issued.  If customer does not pay, it can be considered as bad credit by KCS.

    2. Overdue First deadline (15days): 3% additional fee will be added. Customer should pay duty and tax within 2nd deadline (10 days following the expiry of the first deadline).  At this time, the other following shipments clearance will not be processed until payment is effected.

    3. If customer doesn't pay by the 2nd deadline, UPS may pay duty and tax on behalf of customer. In that case, customer must reimburse the duty and tax to UPS and all other shipments must be stopped until payment is effected. (Shin Han Bank acct: 100-011-981200 UPSKEC)

We hope that your business is successful through our service, we will try our best to provide better service.
