Pick-up and delivery services now available in all 24 Osaka City wards
Tokyo, February 27, 2009 - UPS Japan (Tokyo, Minato-ku), a subsidiary of UPS (Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A., NYSE: UPS), the world's largest package delivery company and a global leader in supply chain solutions, has expanded the service coverage of its Osaka Pickup & Delivery Center (3-3-16 Ishida, Minato-ku, Osaka), in order to strengthen its operations and enhance its service to customers in Osaka.
The expanded areas cover nine new wards in Osaka City. Services to Sumiyoshi, Higashi-Sumiyoshi, and Abeno have already started on February 2, while services to Ikuno, Hirano, Higashinari, Joto, Tsurumi, and Asahi will begin on March 2. With the expansion, UPS will offer both pickup and delivery services in all 24 Osaka City wards, and be able to provide more comprehensive and integrated services to customers in the whole Osaka City.
