Tokyo, August 19, 2010 -- UPS Japan has announced a one-year sponsorship agreement with Team TAISAN, a renowned racing team with an excellent track record in the Super GT and other major car races.
As Team Sponsor, UPS will support Team TAISAN by transporting its racing car parts and equipment used in the Super GT and other car races. The UPS logo will feature on Team TAISAN's racing cars as well as racing suits.

We are confident that our extensive global network and quality services will contribute to the team's success in the upcoming races."
Team TAISAN is a renowned car race team which has been competing in Japan's top racing series, "Super GT," since the series' inception in 1994. The team has also competed in international races, such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the world's oldest endurance car race. To date, Team TAISAN has recorded 61 wins and won the national championship 12 times.
The team is also competing in the All Japan EV-GP (Electric Vehicle-Grand Prix) Series, "All-Japan Sodegaura EV 50-km Race," and is the first Japanese racing team to race with Tesla Roadsters. In the first race of the series on July 19, 2010, Team TAISAN came in first and second.
