UPSers from the Globe Spent Their time to Their Neighbors
 

Tokyo, November 26: The UPS Foundation, the charitable arm of UPS (NYSE:UPS), awarded a US$5,000 grant to the Japan Handicap Football Association (JHFA) and US$25,000 to the NPO Tokyo Port Green Volunteer.

JHFA assists the intellectually handicapped to participate in social activities through the sport of football and UPSers have participated contributed a total of 31.5 hours of their spare time in volunteer activities between July and October 2007.

Tokyo Port Green Volunteer is an NPO that helps to maintain and clean the wild birds park through the help of its volunteers. UPSers have contributed a total of 173.5 hours towards the organisation's activities since 2005 July.

The UPS Global Volunteer Week takes places from October to November every year and this year's activities saw 35,000 UPSers from all over the world participate in its activities worldwide.
