Tokyo, June 8, 2010 - The UPS Foundation has donated US$
16,820 to the Green Volunteers by Tokyo Port to support its environmental
activities.
"UPS Japan employees have been volunteering with the Green Volunteers by
Tokyo Port in its park maintenance activities since 2005 and The UPS Foundation
grant takes our involvement with the organization further. Environmental
sustainability is one of the key focus areas in The UPS Foundation. In addition
to our regular participation as volunteers, we are honored to be able to support
with the grant this time," said Masato Umeno, President of UPS Japan.
Green Volunteers by Tokyo Port is a NPO whose activity is mostly based in
Tokyo Wild Birds Park. The organization's activities include maintenance of the
field such as grass-cutting and thinning, and cleaning, and organizing various
events for the park visitors.
