With UPS Broker of Choice, importers select their own customs broker for customs clearance of their UPS international shipments. This service is available for shipments using UPS Worldwide Express Plus, UPS Worldwide Express, UPS Worldwide Saver and UPS Worldwide Expedited. This contractual, fee-based service ensures that the established relationship with a customs broker remains in place while the importer works with UPS to save time and increase efficiencies in shipping and customs processing. Using UPS Broker of Choice enables importers to reduce fees and errors incurred while using multiple customs clearance processes. Importers have two options:
- UPS Broker of Choice OnSite: used for shipments that remain in UPS possession while the importer's customs broker completes customs clearance procedures prior to UPS completing delivery of the shipment.
- UPS Broker of Choice OffSite: used for shipments moved "in-bond" directly to a customs controlled (bonded) warehouse (at the importer's direction) where the importer's customs broker completes the customs clearance procedures. The UPS transport is complete upon delivery of the shipment to the warehouse.

UPS Paperless Invoice allows customers using a UPS online shipping system (for example, UPS Worldship, UPS Campus Ship, and UPS Internet Shipping) to electronically submit commercial invoice data for clearance. Depending on country-specific customs regulations, this may eliminate the need to affix hard copies of the invoice to the shipment and reduces the possibility of errors or shipment delays due to missing documentation.
This service is offered on a contractual basis and there is no charge incurred. |
