UPS InfoNotice
The UPS InfoNotice

What is an InfoNotice?
We left you a UPS InfoNoticeSM because no one was available when we tried to deliver or collect your shipment. The InfoNotice lists important information, such as how you can collect your shipment. See the selected sections for details.

At the top, you'll see the date the InfoNotice was left and whether it was the first, second, or final attempt. We'll also tell you the day and estimated time of the next delivery attempt.

The middle of the InfoNotice contains other information about your shipment, including whether a signature is required for delivery. If an in-person signature isn't required, you can sign the InfoNotice, put it back in its original location, and the driver will leave your shipment on the next delivery attempt. (If an adult signature is required, the shipper may instruct us not to leave your shipment with a neighbour. We will try to redeliver, or you can arrange to collect the shipment.)

If your driver left the shipment while you were out, he or she will check a box indicating the shipment location.

UPS will attempt three deliveries. Call the customer service number on your InfoNotice if you would like to change your delivery option for the second or third delivery attempt. If UPS is unsuccessful with all three delivery attempts, we will hold the shipment at the nearest UPS facility for five days before returning to the shipper.

Plan Ahead and Receive Your Shipment on the First Attempt
To receive your shipment on the first delivery attempt, track the shipment and leave a note for the driver on the scheduled delivery day. The note can instruct the driver to either leave the shipment, or, if a signature is required, deliver it to a nearby neighbour who is home during the day. Other options include having shipments sent to an address where someone is available during the day.
