How do I back up, restore, or create a new UPS WorldShip database?
How to back up a database:

  1. Shut down WorldShip®.
  2. Navigate to the Start button.
  3. Select Programs->UPS->UPS WorldShip Support Utility.
  4. Select Data Maintenance.
  5. Under Database Operations, select Backup.
  6. Browse to the location where the database is to be backed up.
  7. Select Add.
  8. A message will display when the backup is complete.

How to restore a database from a backup:


  1. Shut down WorldShip.
  2. Navigate to the Start button.
  3. Select Programs->UPS->UPS WorldShip Support Utility.
  4. Select Data Maintenance.
  5. Under Database Operations, select Restore.
  6. Browse to the location where the database is to be backed up.
  7. Highlight the database.
  8. Select the Restore button.
  9. Select OK on the two backup database dialogs and on the success dialog at the end of the restore process.
  10. Exit the Support Utility.

How to create a new database:

  1. Shut down WorldShip.
  2. Navigate to the Start button.
  3. Select Programs->UPS->UPS WorldShip Support Utility.
  4. Select Data Maintenance.
  5. Under Database Operations, select Advanced.
  6. Select Create New.
  7. Select Yes or No to this message: Would you like to make a backup of your current system first?
  8. Select OK to this message: Successfully Restored System.
  9. Exit the Support Utility.
  10. Launch WorldShip.
  11. Commission a new Shipper Number.
