magazine, UPS once again took first place with a clear lead in the Courier,
Express and Package Services category
Neuss, February 10, 2014 - On behalf of the Munich-based
weekly magazine VerkehrsRundschau, the market research institute Kleffmann from
Lüdinghausen conducted a survey of 400 logistics decision-makers from German
industrial and commercial enterprises (carriers). The researchers analyzed the
image of 88 major brands in five logistics market segments. In the "Courier,
Express and Package Service" category, UPS scored 753 of a possible 1000 points
and took first place among the logistics decision-makers from German industrial
and commercial enterprises, winning with a substantial margin over the
second-ranked company that had 735 points.
A logistics service provider's imagine is of major importance, and 96.3
percent of the logistics decisions-makers confirmed that the reputation of a
service provider plays an essential role when choosing transport and logistics

From 2002 to 2006, Logistik Inside magazine, which was absorbed by
VerkehrsRundschau in 2009, conducted a survey on the image of logistics
providers. In 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2008* UPS took first place in the image
rankings in the logistics provider category. The 2012 image ranking is the first
since 2008 to have judged companies specifically in the categories Courier,
Express and Package Services, and UPS again ranked first. The 2013 survey did
not include the CEP category, and so UPS was able to achieve its seventh victory

event organized by VerkehrsRundschau in Munich. The glass trophy was presented
to him by Birgit Bauer, editor-in-chief of VerkehrsRundschau and Matthias
Wissmann, president of the German Automotive Industry Association (VDA).
