UPS 2Q Earnings Per Share Jump 25 Percent on Revenue Growth of 8 Percent
UPS announced adjusted diluted earnings per share of $1.05 for the second quarter of 2011, a 25% improvement over the $0.84 for the prior-year period. Total revenue increased 8.1% to $13.2 billion.

Service Delays Expected in Japan

Photo ID Requirement at Retail Shipping Locations
Effective 7 December 2010, where local laws permit, customers shipping at any retail shipping location will be required to show a valid, officially recognised photo ID, or they will not be allowed to use UPS services.

UPS Simplifies the Shipment of Alcohol

Effective 22nd June 2009, UPS will offer an enhanced and simplified alcohol shipping programme, which will allow customers to ship a wide variety of alcoholic beverages that contain less than 70% alcohol within their country and across the EU. While a contract is still necessary for frequent shippers in the alcohol industry, eligibility can be determined on the spot and customers can start shipping immediately.
