Yes, you can export address information to a file and modify multiple records rather than manually modifying individual addresses in your My UPS Address Book, WorldShip Address Book, or CampusShip Personal Address Book. The modified file can then be imported back into My UPS.
Exporting Addresses To export addresses, follow these steps:
- Log in to My UPS.
- Select Address Book from the toolbar.
- Select Export Addresses. Selecting the link will create your export request.
- Select Export Data. Selecting the button will bring you to a status screen.
- Select Update.
- Select View Data. Selecting the link will allow you to open the file or to save it to your computer.
Export File Request Status can include:
- In Progress: This indicates that an export request is being processed and will complete momentarily, depending on size. To view the latest status, refresh the page.
- Completed: Displays a link to View Data.
- Completed with Errors: Displays links to View Data and View Errors.
- Failed: Displays a link to View Errors.
Importing Addresses To import addresses, follow these steps:
- Log in to My UPS.
- Select Address Book from the toolbar.
- Select Import Addresses.
- Enter or browse to the comma separated value (.csv) file you wish to import
- Choose the original file format for the file you want to import (i.e. how the addresses were originally created: in My UPS or WorldShip).
- Choose whether you want to add the addresses to your address book or overwrite your existing My UPS address book with the addresses you are importing.
- Select Import.
Note: Column headers should not be included. Also, it is recommended that you save this export file layout for future use.

Unfortunately, there is no way to retrieve an address after it has been deleted. To re-create the entry, use the Add Address feature in your Address Book.

You will have the option to include a Location ID when you add an address to your Address Book. Enter the Location ID in the Location ID field and select Save.
If you want to add a Location ID to an existing address follow these steps:
- Select My UPS.
- Select the Address Book link in the area at the left.

Select the address you want to modify.

Enter the Location ID in the Location ID field at the bottom of the form.

Select Update.

You can modify your reference numbers for an existing address by completing these steps:
- Select Address Book in the area at the left.
- Select the address you'd like to modify.
- Locate the Reference Numbers at the bottom of the page.
- Select a reference type from the drop-down menu for Reference Number 1.
- Select a reference type from the drop-down menu for Reference Number 2.
- Select Update to save your changes.

A Location ID is a unique identifier that designates a specific receiving location. The Location ID corresponds to shipper account numbers so that Quantum View® users can receive information about the shipments to the address of the Location ID.
If you are a Quantum View user, you will need to ask your vendors to include your Location ID in their shipment information. You will then be able to view your inbound shipment status via Quantum View Manage or Quantum View Data. Your customers may also ask you to include their Location ID in shipments you send to their location.
