UPS uses an index-based surcharge that is adjusted monthly. Changes to the surcharge will be effective the first Monday of each month and posted approximately two weeks prior to the effective date. For your billing convenience, we will also post a 90-day fuel surcharge history. The Standard services surcharge will apply to National, Transborder and Worldwide shipments and will be based on the last week of the month average consumer prices of diesel fuel inclusive of duties and taxes from 2 months prior. Weekly updates are published by the European Commission Directorate General for Energy and Transport in the Oil Bulletin.

The surcharge will be based on the Rotterdam Jet Fuel Prices reported by the U.S. Department of Energy for the month that is two months prior to the adjustment.
