Description: This notification must be completed in duplicate before importation of the goods described by the importer who is registered as a textiles trader and exempted from the licensing requirements under Sections 6C(1) an 6D(1) of the Import and Export Ordinance.

The Trade and Industry Department’s copy of this notification must be produced to the carrier at the time of importation.

An importer registered as a textiles trader must keep the Importer’s copy of this notification and other relevant documents, including order, bill of lading/air waybill, packing list and invoice, pertaining to the importation of the goods described at his registered premises for a two-year period from the date of importation. Such documents must be produced for inspection upon request by officers of Trade and Industry Department or Customs and Excise Department.

The Trade and Industry Department’s copy of this notification together with the relevant manifest must be represented by the carrier to officers of Customs and Excise Department at land border control points at the time of importation in respect of imports by road, or in respect of imports by other modes of transport such documents must be submitted by the carrier to the Trade and Industry Department within 14 days after the day on which the textiles are imported.
