Description: Form A, under the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP), is required to validate claims for preferential duty treatment (a reduced or duty-free entry). This form is granted by certain developed countries for certain manufactured goods exported by least developed countries to boost exports. The form can be prepared either in English or in the language of the shipper’s country. Form A is normally prepared by the exporter when sending out a shipment and must be validated by the shipper’s Customs authorities.
