Below you can find costs and descriptions of additional shipping charges that may be incurred.

Packages with an actual weight of more than 150 pounds (70 kg), or that exceed 108 inches (270 cm) in length or a total of 165 inches (419 cm) in length and girth combined, as measured to determine their billable weight, are not accepted for transportation. These packages are subject to an Over Maximum Limits surcharge, in addition to all other applicable charges, if found in the UPS small package system.

A Large Package Surcharge will be applied to each package when its length plus girth [(2 x width) + (2 x height)] combined exceeds 130 inches/330 centimetres, but does not exceed the maximum allowable UPS size of 165 inches/419 centimetres.
An additional Handling charge will not be assessed when a Large Package Surcharge is applied.
Large packages are subject to a minimum billable weight of 90 pounds (41kgs) in addition to the Large Package Surcharge.

Our competitive rates on protection against loss or damage can save you money and also provide responsible protection if the unexpected happens.
- Protection against loss or damage is automatically provided free of charge for the value of a shipment up to $100CAD
- If the value of your shipment is over $100CAD, you may declare a higher value and pay an additional charge for additional protection against loss or damages up to certain limits
- You must enter a value in the Declared Value field on the UPS pickup record
- The maximum Declared Value shall be no more than:
- $50,000CAD for a single package
- $50,000CAD for a C.O.D. package
- $50,000CAD for a UPS Express™ C.O.D. package
- $50,000CAD for a return package sent via 3 UPS Pickup Attempts Return Label
- $50,000CAD for a package shipped via UPS Internet Shipping
- $5,000CAD for payment card transactions (credit or debit) on a UPS Internet shipping account
- $999CAD for a return package sent via UPS Print Return Label, UPS Print and Mail Return Label, UPS Electronic Return Label, and 1 UPS Pickup Attempt Return Label
- $500CAD for a package shipped via a UPS drop box
- $500CAD for a package containing jewelry, other than costume jewelry
- $100CAD for a package containing cheques, phone cards, lottery tickets or gift cards
- For all prepaid shipments, the charge for additional declared value will be billed to the sender
- For all Freight Collect shipments, the charge for additional declared value will be billed to the receiver

| UPS provides delivery service to residential addresses, as well as business addresses. A residential delivery is one made to a home, including a business operating out of a home. For each residential delivery within Canada or to the United States, an additional charge per shipment applies. The applicable residential delivery service charge can be found in the Additional Charges table. |

Additional Handling applies to the following:
- Any article that is encased in an outside shipping container made of metal or wood
- Any cylindrical item, such as a barrel, drum, pail, or tire, that is not fully encased in a corrugated cardboard shipping container
- Any package with the longest side exceeding 60 inches (152 cm) or its second-longest side exceeding 30 inches (76 cm)
- Any package with an actual weight greater than 70 pounds (32 kg)
- Each package in a shipment where the average weight per package is greater than 70 pounds (32 kg) and the weight for each package is not specified on the source document or the UPS automated shipping system used
Additional Handling will not be assessed to packages qualifying for a Large Package Surcharge.
UPS also reserves the right to assess the Additional Handling Charge for any package that, in UPS's sole discretion, requires special handling. |

| If a shipper inadvertently selects UPS Express Early A.M. or UPS Worldwide Express Plus service for a delivery destination that is not a UPS Express Early A.M. or UPS Worldwide Express Plus service point, UPS will provide the next-best level of service available. If the shipper later wishes to have their UPS bill adjusted to the lower level of service, the above administration fee will apply. |

Extended Area Surcharge UPS provides a pickup delivery service in extended, as well as urban, areas. An additional charge applies for each shipment that is picked up or delivered in an extended area.
Remote Area Surcharge This surcharge is applied for delivery to or pickup from an area beyond UPS extended areas, which are less accessible for pickups and deliveries (domestic and international services). |

Domestic packages refused by consignees, or that cannot be delivered for any other reason beyond UPS's control, will be automatically returned via UPS Standard service (where available). Transportation and fuel charges will apply for the return.
U.S. and International packages refused by consignees, or that cannot be delivered for any other reason, will be held by UPS. The shipper will then be contacted for further instructions. An undeliverable returns surcharge will be applied in addition to other applicable charges. See table above for Special Handling of Undeliverable Packages rate. |

| UPS carbon neutral is an option for shippers who are conscious about their climate impact and are doing something positive about it. Using UPS carbon neutral lets you demonstrate your commitment to climate change, and enables you and your package recipients to share in that commitment. When you select UPS carbon neutral, a flat fee will be added to your bill for each package selected. |

If the package is not ready at the time of the attempt, the label will be left for the customer to send the package later.
