Effective August 15, 2011, UPS resumed pickup and delivery service in all areas of Iwate. However, service remains suspended for some areas in Fukushima. UPS will not be making any pickups or deliveries of package or freight in the following postal codes.

Although some delays can still be expected, the UPS Service Guarantee has been reinstated in all service areas with the exception of the prefectures of Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima.
UPS continues to do its utmost to ensure shipments reach their final destinations as rapidly as possible. UPS is monitoring the situation and will provide further updates as necessary. Please check this website for regular updates.
The UPS package guarantee does not apply when transportation networks are disrupted due to conditions beyond our control.
UPS is supporting recovery efforts and through The UPS Foundation has allocated $1 million in relief for victims in Japan. The funds are being used for in-kind transportation of emergency supplies, trained humanitarian logistics personnel and financial support.
